Clear blue skies and a light breeze greeted a hardy contingent of 589 runners and scores of volunteers and supporters at the 2nd annual DC marathon held Sunday, March 23rd. Legal Assets co-founder Jeffrey Miller successfully completed the course in well under 4 hours, placing in the top 12% of finishers. This is Jeff's second marathon, having run the Marine Corps Marathon 3 years ago.

This year's competitors are to be especially commended considering the controversy surrounding the race: streets were not blocked off and medical assistance and break facilities were not provided because the race sponsor pulled out 3 days before the event, citing security concerns. In spite of the adversity and on very short notice, volunteers and competitors spiritedly reorganized the event. It was an unqualified success.
