John Murdock, Esq., a partner at Epstein, Becker & Green, PC, was the featured speaker at Legal Assets’ fall 2007 BreakfastClub session, “The E-Discovery Process.” Mr. Murdock’s talk began with an evaluation of client concerns pertaining to e-discovery. He then segued into the duties and standards mandated by the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure and case law relating to the identifying, preserving, and retrieval of discoverable information. Finally, Mr. Murdock discussed the e-discovery process itself by identifying common data sources and describing the important considerations at the collection, review, analysis and production phases of the process. Mr. Murdock neatly and comprehensively highlighted many key issues pertaining to this cutting edge topic.
