Alvin Rosser, Training and Development Manager at Wilmer, Cutler, Pickering, Hale & Dorr, provided an enlightening session in effective communication at the October 25th BreakfastClub event. In mock sessions, enthusiastic participants seated at circular tables practiced listening techniques. Next, paralegals brainstormed on what to advise a colleague running up against a deadline on a project owned by a very impatient firm attorney.

The highly spirited event was moderated by Alvin who steered participants away from communication pitfalls. Alvin demonstrated how effective communication, via straight-forward assurances, creative and flexible planning, and effective email protocol, enables firm staff to realistically meet, and occasionally beat, its deadlines.
