October, 2004
Jeffrey McFadden, Esq., addressed “What they don’t show you in L.A. Law, Ally McBeal, The Practice, or Law & Order,” at Legal Assets’ most recent BreakfastClub Training Series. Mr. McFadden, of counsel at Steptoe & Johnson, provided valuable insight to an appreciative audience of paralegals. With characteristic enthusiasm, he focused on the litigation process, from pleadings to pre-trial motions, providing terrific guidance and anecdotes. McFadden emphasized the critical role of proactive paralegal staff in maximizing a “client’s position for optimal settlement/plea bargain.” He stressed that knowing and following the rules of civil procedure, particularly the local court rules, is instrumental to the successful outcome of any litigation. Part Two of the Litigation Series, “Trial Preparation: Order in the Court,” will be presented by Brooke Pinkerton, Esq., Partner at Thompson, O’Donnell, Markham, Norton & Hannon. Her dynamic style and industry knowledge guarantee a memorable BreakfastClub Training session on October 26, 2004. You may contact us for details on this upcoming session.
